ACADEMIC PROFILE
Leonora Haxhiu is currently engaged as a laboratory assistant assisting the teaching process at the Faculty of Planning, Environment and Urban Management, Department of Urban Planning and Management.
She graduated from the Bachelor (2013-2016) and Master (2016-2018) programs in Geoinformatics Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Tirana. He is also continuing his Master of Science studies in Computer Science at Polis University.
Leonora has previous work experience in the field of GIS systems, having been engaged as a GIS Specialist in several long-term projects such as: the General Local Plan of the Municipality of Dropull, Spatial Analysis based on GIS of accidents in the city of Tirana as well as Design and Data Modeling by means of GIS of the Optical Fiber system in the city of Tirana and Lezha.
After completing her scientific training, she intends to delve into scientific and doctoral research on the relationship between GIS and territorial planning. Fields of interest and scientific research include: Geospatial technologies and their application in urban planning/ MCA analyses/ CyberGIS/ Spatial Data Science/ etc.
